13. Grenadier of 36th Regiment of Foot

This uniform was from the 1750's up until 1768.

During the 7 Years War 1756-63 the 36th (Herefordshire) Regiment was stationed in the UK carrying out raids on the French coast in Brittany capturing some French artillery and bringing it back for display in London.

They won their motto "Firm" in 1748 fighting a rear guard action in the Low Countries during the war of the Austrian succession 1740-48.
