Richard Delingpole

22. Medieval Knight, 1471

The full plate armour of this Burgundian knight shows his high status. As a combatant in the Battle of Tewkesbury it must be assumed that he was part of the army of Margaret of Anjou, who fought on the losing Lancastrian side.

Like many knights of this age, he would have travelled on horseback but fought mounted or on foot. His armour is state-of-the art for the time, making it almost certainly German.
